11/11/22 will be a day to be remembered.
Happy Veterans Day and Remberance Day; it is incredible how all this military success converged in one day.

Remembrance Day, originally called Armistice Day, is every 11 November at 11 a.m. It marks the end of hostilities during the First World War and recalls all who have served in the nation’s defense.

This is because hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month" of 1918 after the armistice signed by representatives of Germany and the Entente. The First World War officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919.

We held the two-minute silence since 1919 so
“the thoughts of everyone may be concentrated on reverent remembrance of the glorious dead.”
We also wore poppies as they were one of the first flowers to grow on the battlefields of WWI. The red symbolizes hope after the conflict.

“To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.”
