As with most wars, the majority of people killed in the deadliest wars of all time are innocent civilians. Wars have been a part of human history since the dawn of time. Let's take a look at the three deadliest wars in history.
No. 1: World War II

World War II, which started on 1 September 1939 and ended on 2 September 1945, was a global war in which the vast majority of the world's countries fought as the Allies and the Axis power. It was the deadliest war in history and was responsible for at least 70 million deaths.
No. 2: The Second Sino-Japanese War

The Second Sino-Japanese War that spanned from 1937 to 1945 was primarily waged between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan. This full-scale war between the Chinese and the Japanese is often regarded as the beginning of World War II in Asia, killing almost 30 million people.
No. 3: Transition from Ming to Qing

The transition from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty was a rebellion waged from 1618 to 1683, lasting around 65 years. It was a decades-long conflict, leading to the deaths of 25 million people. It ended with the Qing rule's consolidation and the Ming's fall.
“Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind.”
As John F. Kennedy famously said, the deadliest wars in history prove this repeating pattern with costly results. Let history be a teacher so that we can avoid making the same mistakes and put an end to the war.
